Will he be a tiger in bed? A study published in the journal Human Reproduction found that if a guys’ ring finger is longer than his index finger, he has a lot of testosterone coursing through his body.

Shifting baselines are the chronic, slow, hard-to-notice changes in things, from the disappearance of birds and frogs in the countryside to the increased drive time from Vancouver to Portland. If your ideal weight used to be 150 pounds and now it’s 160, your baseline — as well as your waistline — has shifted.
For more information see: http://www.ocean.com/Fetures/2003/05/ShiftingBaselines/
So what do you think? Is the shifting baseline something you are concerned about or care about? Is it just another hippie discussion of no importance? Or does your opinion fall somewhere in between?

Being the humble and kind-hearted person I am. I decided to help out those not blessed with my confidence and suggest that those people with low self-esteem, (a.k.a 90% of the world) form a support group to help each other out. You may be asking yourself, do I have low self-esteem? (if you’re asking that question you most likely do have low self-esteem problems) Well, I have created a set of questions to help you identify yourself as a person with low self-esteem. Answering “Yes” to even one of these questions indicates your self-esteem is critically low.
Low-self esteem Quiz
1. Do you often talk about other people swearing or sharing beliefs or views different than yours in a negative manner?
Being obsessed with how other people talk shows a lack of confidence in your own ability to filter out what other people are saying. Having the ability to remain rooted in your own personal belief systems while still being able to be around others who share different beliefs or speak in a coarser mannner is a sign of self-confidence, to become uncomfortable around those people is a sign of low self-esteem.
2. Do you drive a tiny car or live in Vancouver?
Driving a small car is an outward manifestation of your low self-esteem. Living in Vancouver is a way of pretending to live in Oregon when you feel inside that you just couldn’t fit in in such a marvelous place. Both are signs of an extremely low self-esteem.
3. Do you have a house in an industrial neighborhood near contaminated ground water?
Buying a house in such an absymal location is a sign of low self-esteem. A person with confidence would go boldly to the neighborhoods where their kids will be safe and their wife would feel proud to live.
4. Do you often think of yourself a white trash and kind of believe it’s true?
White trash people like you often have low self-esteem. It’s kind of a chicken or the egg scenerio. Does low self-esteem help you become white trash or does being white trash give you low self-esteem?
5. Do you try to hide your low self-esteem behind false bravado and an fake competitive nature?
This is one of the slickest strategies in the book for those people with low self-esteem. In an effort to fool people into thinking they are self confident, they hide behind smoke and mirrors. In reality they go home and cry in their pillow at night because they are worried that nobody likes them.
Done. If you answered “Yes” to any of the questions above, please seek help as soon as possible.
I’m just curious if anyone else has had any great stories demonstration the Great Technology Divide in all it’s glory (for those of you who don’t know what this phrase is, it refers to the gap between those who use and understand technology and those who don’t)
For example, in my sophomore year of college I have a marvelous demonstration of just how great the technology divide was in my own childhood home. I was home for the summer break with my laptop and my printer. My sister was getting married that summer and my mother, asked me if I could maybe run the two champagne glasses she had bought for my sister, through my computer to engrave them. As I stared at her wondering if she was joking or had lost her mind, I realized she really had no clue as to what a computer was or what it could do. That is just one example of the many out there of the “Great Technology Divide”
Feel free to comment with your own personal stories of technology befuddled family and friends.
Although, in my own perfect opinion, I tend to think of myself as the most humble person I know (it’s true, I’ve done the math, there’s no one humbler than me in my life at this point in time. Of course, as I meet more people I’ll let you know if they out humble me or not. But for now, statiscally speaking, I’m the most humble person around. If you still don’t believe me look at the following stats I’ve collected.)
Name Humblness Percentage
George 98.7%
Sean 94%
Rick 90.5%
Eric 32%
Tim P 31.3%
[Note: the above list is only a partial list of the people I know since I tend to know more people than anyone else, it’s not physically possible for me to type all those names, although if it was physcially possible, I would probably be the only one who would have the skill or capability of typing that many names in a realisitic amount of time to be worth posting.]
Picking up on my previous train of thought, I think of myself as humble (you’ve just seen the proof, it’s true) but others tend to see me with a big ego. This of course is not true in anyway, but this topic has come up more and more often in my life as I continue to become better and better than everyone else I know. Better than everyone in what you might ask (although you probably didn’t since you’re most likely not smart enough to have thought of that question like I just did.). Well I’m better than everyone else in just about everything. Of course, this would be an issue and people are right I would have a big ego, except for one important fact. I have cultivated the MOST humbling of all personalities on the face of the planet. When I answered questions faster and more intelligently than anyone else in my college classes and had the professors praise me for my genius, did I lord over the other inferior students in my class? No, because I am humble and it’s not fair for them to compete with someone like me anyway. When I got hired at Viewpoint and dazzled everyone with my drive and competitve nature, growing the product by leaps and bounds and improving every aspect of the company within a few short weeks, did I gloat over everyone or mention how much faster I was or bother mentioning how much smarter I was in all areas? No, because I am extremely humble and I never do my “Ha Ha, I’m better than all of you dance” in public. So, for those of you who are reading this who also have been accussed of big egos, just remember you are only being told that because people do not understand success. Just keep plugging along and being as successful as you can, constantly challenging yourself, and don’t feel bad when I best you at everything, I promise I’ll do it humbly.
On the topic of “Democrat or DumbAsCrap”, you know what really pisses me off?
There is a WIC program, “Women Infants and Children” whereas they get Milk, Cheese and some other crap. However, there is NOT a DIC program, “Daddies Infants and Children”. Who is going to feed all the children of single daddies? SHEESH…..
This is something that happens from time to time here at our office. Noone ever seems to see who does it…..

Reasons I DO NOT want NanoTechnology in my body.
1) If they are made of Metal, I’ll have a hard time going through Airport Metal Dectors, they might rust and if I’m next to a large magnet they might burst out of my body. …that would suck…
2) If they have Acid Batteries, they might leak. …that would suck…
3) If they make a mistake in what they are targeting, they might kill me. …that would suck…
4) If they are valuable someone might want them and try to get them out of me, possibly with a large magnet. …that would suck…
