Not so accurate… De gaulle wasn’t president of France during the war, but only after. Hitler started attacking and ocuuping austria, poland, dennmark, norway and belgium. Russia attacked Poland and it was divided between russia and germany.
Then, only, germany attacked France, which was occupied. That’s when degaulle started to “talk”.
After that germany attacked Russia, USA supported Russia and the allies without real action, then Japan attacked USA, and that’s when USA entered the war then germany attacked north africa and reach its largest occupied territory.
Then Russia won the eastern europe and USA the western europe and droped a bomb on Japan.
I did not read half of that story here…

A very amusing, not entirely accurate, but well-condensed summary of WWII. Thankyou for putting this up on the site for us all to see. Interesting that some comments (maybe from Asia?) are from people who don’t appear to have a clue about what WWII was all about. The German guy was probably right on the button about Hitler being “unhuman” (i.e., inhuman). Hitler was evil incarnate (i.e., in human form), which the rest of humanity had to fight to the finish. An interesting question is, did the evil come from within or not?

That was comic genius and exteremly accurate for something that’s just supposed to be funny. All you history nit-pickers need to shut your holes and realize that this isn’t out to educate the youth of America about WWII so they can pass a history exam or anything like that. It’s trying to put comic relief on a tragic event that happened many years ago that probably only some of the younger generation that have actually studied some of the WWII history would understand and appreciate the humor evident in this short work.
So, to whoever wrote it, I say bravo and like others have suggested, please write a Cold War parody as well. And yes, it is more of an RTS environment than an RPG. That’s just the gamer nerd coming out in me.

I dont know how I found this but its awesome! I love history and am a 14 yr old history buff. Accurate enoug and funny. Ive seen this before but this one is better and in color! It also sets it up for the Cold War. Ive done the same thing in playing Age of Empires II The Conquerors. Same lines, only different names and more swears. ITS AWESOME! Make a Cold-War one now too! I wonder how this would work as Napoleonic or WWI?

Germany attacked Poland in 1939, which for your information is what started WWII!!!! Also, Japan attacked the U.S. on Dec.7 1941 which is what brought the U.S. into the war. You\’ve got a couple of facts right, but you really need to do some reading…

You should have paid more attention in special school, Hitler and Stalin carved up Poland between them while they were still allies and Russia was still Russia at the time as it hadn’t absorbed Eastern Europe etc and become the USSR. Prior to 1941 Roosevelt ‘gave’ the UK ships (over 1000) aircraft, guns and stuff under lend lease - He just didn’t let him have any soldiers - although quite a few airman slipped over the border to Canada and ‘trained’ for the RAF and many American sailors helped with the Atlantic convoys.

“Not so accurate… De gaulle wasn’t president of France during the war, but only after. Hitler started attacking and ocuuping austria, poland, dennmark, norway and belgium. Russia attacked Poland and it was divided between russia and germany.

America LET the Russians take Berlin, the takeover of Germany was a combined effort. I can’t remember the exact reasons for letting them take Berlin, I think it was compensation for the 5 million or whatever losses the Russians suffered in the war.

its not a case of who let who, the americans came from the left (france/belgium/holland) where as the russians came from the right(poland) obviously they were much closer to berlin so what the heck.. plus, anything to prevent further loss of life was welcomed by the allies.

I’m German & historian - if someone doesn’t find that funny, better get your approach of life checked. OK, that’s not true - humour varies. But it’s definitely not wrong to make jokes about one of WWII, even if it is the most cruel events in recent history; we’re human after all. There’s no reason to mystify Hitler anymore than he deserves it by only talking about him in serious situations with decently concerned mimik. It’s fun, peeps.
